Day 1: Delhi
Begin your tour.
Arrive into Delhi.
Welcome to Vardhman's "Buddhist Trail Tour". On arrival in Delhi,
you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your
hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 2: Delhi
This morning after breakfast we will proceed for the sightseeing
of Delhi.City tour of New & Old Delhi.Later proceed on a tour of
the city, which includes the main attractionlike Qutab Minar, Humayun's
tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern HinduTemple, Parliament House,
Government Secretarial Building and Connaughtplace, the shopping centre
of New Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid,
oneof the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremationsites
of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past ChandniChowk,
shopping centre of Old Delhi.

Day 3: Delhi- Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival at Jaipur check into
your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4:Jaipur
This morning after breakfast proceed for excursion to Amber Fort.
Elephantride ascent to the fort.AMBER FORT PALACE - Amber is the classic
romantic Rajasthani fort palace.Its construction was started by Man
Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh. It's forbidding
exterior belies an inner paradisewhere a beautiful fusion of Mughal
and Hindu styles finds it's ultimateexpression.Later visit Hawa Mahal,
Royal Observatory, City Palace, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli and Johari Bazar
etc.

Day 5:Jaipur- Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After breakfast drive to Jaipur enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.Upon
arrival at Jaipur check into your hotel.
Later proceed on a city tour of Agra
Visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday), Red fort & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula.
Later you will visit a marble gallery - the flagship store in Agra which
offers an excellant range of white marble, fashionable wear & exotic
wooden articles, truly a one stop shop!

Day 6: Agra- Varanasi (By flight)
This morning after breakfast transfer to the Agra airport to catch
flight for Varanasi.
In morning you are relocated to the airport to catch flight to Varanasi.
On arrival, transfer to hotel. In the afternoon a city tour of historic
Sarnath is arranged. Sarnath is the place where Lord Buddha gave his
first sermon. It is also famous for its Dhamekh Stupa.

Day 7: Varanasi
Early morning enjoy boat cruise on river Ganges. Thousands of pilgrims
throng the water's edge, bathing, worshipping, meditating. On stone
platforms under palm leaf umbrellas, the Pandas-Brahmin priests preside
over rites and rituals. The boat trip will cover various ghats including
the cremation sites. Because every pious Hindu believes that to die
in Kashi (Varanasi)and to be cremated on the banks of the Ganges is
to attain release from the cycle of birth and death.Later visit the
Vishwanath Golden Temple, the abode of great God Shiva, Bharat Mata
Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir and Banaras Hindu University.Overnight:Hotel
Day 8: Varanasi- Bodhgaya
This morning after breakfast drive to Bodhgaya.Arrive Bodhgaya and
check - in at hotel. Bodhgaya is the most sacred place for Buddhists
as it has a Peepul tree under which Gautama the Buddha attained enlightenment
some 2500 years back.

Day 9: Bodhgaya- Rajgir- Nalanda- Bodhgaya
After breakfast proceed excursions to Rajgir/Nalanda / Saptapari
cave and Venevamas.
Rajgir
Rajgir is 70 kilometres away from Bodhgaya. Lord Buddha spent many months
of retreat during the rainy season here, and used to meditate and preach
on the Griddakuta, he hill of the Vultures. It was in Rajgir that Buddha
delivered some of his famous sermons and converted King Bimbisara of
the Magadh Kingdom and countless others top his creed. The places of
interest are the Vishwa Shanti Stupa (built by the Japanese and can
be reached by a chair lift rope way), the Griddakuta (where Lord Buddha
used to preach and alongside is the cave of his most devoted disciples
Ananda), Ajatashatru's fort (built by Ajatashatru's, king of Magadh),
Bimbisara's Jail (where the king Bimbisara was imprisoned by his impatient
son Ajatashatru), Swarna Bhandar (the treasury of Bimbisara) and then
there are the Hot springs and more than 26 Jain temples around Rajgir.
Nalanda
Nalanda (14 kms), founded in the 5th century BC, Nalanda was one of
the worlds greatest universities, and an important Buddha centre until
it was sacked by the Afghans in the 12th century. When the Chinese scholar
and traveller, Xuan Zhang, was here in the early 7th century AD, there
were 10,000 monks and students in the residence. The brick-built remains
are extensive and include the Great Stupa, which steps, terraces and
a few intact votive stupas around it, and the Monks cells. There is
also an interesting archeological museum housing the Nalanda University
seal, scriptures and other remains found on the site.

Day 10: Bodhgaya- Vaishali- Kushinagar
This morning drive to Kushinagor enroute visit Vaishali. It was
at Vaishali that Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon and announced
about his Nirvana. Here you can see the majestic Ashoka Pillar, the
Lotus tank, Chaumukhi etc.
Upon arrival at Kushinagor check into your hotel.

Day 11: Kushinagar - Lumbini
In the morning you can explore the Mahanirvana temple, the modern
Japan/ Srilanka Buddhist center and monasteries and then proceed to
Lumbini.

Day 12: Lumbini- Kapilvastu- Sravasti- Balrampur
After breakfast visit Ashoka pillar (249 BC) rediscovered in 1890's,
Mayadevi temple, the ruins of an old monastery and some new stupas.
Later drive to Balrampur enroute visit Sravasti where you will see the
extensive ruins of this ancient city and Jetavana Monastery.
Upon arrival at Balrampur check into your hotel.

Day 13: Balrampur- Lucknow
Today Explore the city of Balrampur. Later drive to Lucknow. Upon
arrival at Lucknow check into your hotel.

Day 14: Lucknow - Delhi (By flight)
This morning, explore the city of Nawabs, Lucknow, covering Imambara,
Rumi Darwaza etc.
In the evening ransferred to the airport to catch flight for Delhi.
Upon arrival at Delhi check into your hotel.

Day 15:Delhi
This morning after breakfast transfer to the Delhi airport/railway
station to catch flight /train for your to catch flight for your onward
destination with sweet and unforgettable memories of "Buddhist
